American Legion Sponsorship
Compete for a sponsorship from a local American Legion Post
Many American Legion Posts offer sponsorships to pay the delegate fee. Unfortunately not all Posts offer sponsorships, and numbers are limited.

- Visit okboysstate.com/sponsorships to redeem your sponsorship using the code provided by your legion post
Independent Attendance
All delegates are strongly encouraged to coordinate with a local American Legion Post to attend Oklahoma Boys State. Many Oklahoma communities lack a local American Legion, however, and delegates from those communities may enroll independently.

Independent Fundraising
Unfortunately, not all local American Legion Posts offer sponsorships for Oklahoma Boys State. Many delegates who live in communities without American Legion Posts and who need help covering the delegate fee have successfully raised funds from local sources.
School districts occasionally pay the delegate fee, but most delegates in this situation raise funds independently from local businesses, online fundraising (GoFundMe), and other civic organizations such as the Kiwanis Club, Lions, or Elks Lodge.
